Ausangate is located at 6372 meters above sea level, this mountain is the most representative in the Cusqueñan Andes is located in Vilcanota mountain claim, is one of the most amazing places in Peru. The extensive turquoise lakes, level ground  and stones forest, change the place in a paradise totally out of the modernity , walking around Ausangate is an indescribable adventure where isn't impossible not be marvelous about the magnificent afternoon and never-ending snows.

Route Description:

Itinerary:

Day 1 : Cusco - Tinki.- At 9:30 am, we will pick you up at your hotel to make a 5 hours trip to Tinki at 3800 meters above sea level, on our route we are going to pass by Pikillacta, (pre-Inca Wari ruins), Andahuaylillas and Huaro (typical colonial villages). Then we will get to Urcos, which is close to Ocongate and later get to Tinki, here we will camp.

Day 2 : Tinki - Upis.- We will cross the Ocongate River, then pass by a small community, ascending to the Puna from here we will have a impressive view of landscape and the top of Ausangate. We will get to Upis at 4200 meters above sea level where we will camp and can take advantage of thermal water baths.

Day 3 : Upis - Pucacocha.- We will wake up very early for ascend to the snow; as far as arrive at the 4500 meters above sea level. In addition, we will continue the walk toward Pucacocha

Day 4 : Pucacocha - Huchuyfinaya.- This day we will ascent to the highest point in our adventure- Palomani at 5200 meters above sea level. From here, we will have a impressive view of the south-east side of the Snowcapped Ausangate, the María posada and Caracol, peaks. Then we'll get down to Chilcapinaya   and finally arrive to Huchuyfinay , where we will camp.

Day 5 : Huchuyfinay - Pacchaspata.- After breakfast, during the walking we will see the American Camelidae  such as the llama, alpaca and if we are lucky vicuñas .In our descent way we are going to pass for Jampa and Colquecruz which are at 4650 meters above sea level finally we will get to Pacchaspata, our campground.

Day 6: Pacchaspata - Pacchanta.- We will take our way down slowly through the valley to get to the community of Pacchanta. Here we will spend the afternoon where we can enjoy the thermal water baths.

Day 7: Pacchanta - Tinki - Cusco.- On this morning, after a short hiking trail we will take our bus back to Cusco.
