The Inca Trail This is the most famous trail in Peru. It offers a variety of landscapes from high mountains to subtropical forests and woods. The 39 kilometers of the Inca Trail was a pilgrim’s route, with the final destination being the sacred citadel of Machupicchu.
This expedition requires good physical condition, for which we suggest clients come to Cusco in adequate physical shape and stay in Cusco at least two days before starting the trek, to adjust to the altitude.
Rules of Entrance In order to enter the Inka Trail you need to obtain an authorization from the INC (Peruvian National Culture Institute).
This authorization can be purchased through a Tour Operator authorized to work on the Inca Trail.

Optional Climb to Huaynapicchu.
It is possible to climb up to the peak of Huaynapicchu, the mountain next to Machupicchu. The hike is safe and very peaceful, in sub-tropical vegetation, with a spectacular view from the top.
It takes a total of at least 2 and a half hours (2 hours walking time), but is physically challenging. Make sure you are in good physical condition and acclimatised if you want to do this hike.
Going on the hike requires an additional permit to enter Huaynapicchu which costs US $61.-. (US $40.- for students) Please notify us if you want to take the Huaynapicchu option when you make your reservation.
