| Arrival in Cusco
We will be waiting for you at the Cusco airport and then transfer you to your hotel. You will have the morning free to rest up and acclimatize.
01:00 | Cusco City Tour
We will start the Cusco City Tour, in which you will visit the Cathedral, the Coricancha (ancient Inca Temple of the Sun), Sacsayhuaman, and the sites of Qenqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay (considered to be the Inca Baths).The tour will finish at around 7:00 p.m.
07:00 | Sacred Valley of the Incas
You will enjoy a spectacular tour of beautiful villages that showcase their culture, art and architecture as you traverse the Sacred Valley of the Incas, visiting the villages and archaeological sites of Pisac and Ollantaytambo.
04:30 | Train to Aguas Calientes -Machu Picchu
After visiting Ollantaytambo we will take you to the train to Aguas Calientes, the town for Machu Picchu. The train journey will take less than two hours. Our guide will meet you just outside the train station and accompany you to your hotel, where you will have a briefing as to what to expect the next day.
05:00 | Visit to Machu Picchu
Early start today, as we take the bus that zigzags up the mountain to the citadel of Machu Picchu. Our guide will give you a tour visiting the most important sights and sharing the history of this enigmatic town that the Spanish never discovered. If you have prearranged a permit to climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu mountains, you will have time to do this before taking the bus back down to the town of Aguas Calientes. Perhaps you want to grab a bite to eat in town before you head out.
15:30 | Return Train to Cusco
The train ride to Ollantaytambo will take about 2 hours. Our private transportation will be waiting for you just outside the train station to take you to your hotel in Cusco (about a 90-minute drive).
08:00 | Visit to Maras and Moray
You will visit this impressive system of Incan agricultural terraces with your guide. In Maras we will visit this fascinating site where the Inca harnessed a salt water spring and converted the mountainside into 1000s of evaporation chambers to capture this highly mineralized (and sometimes pink!) medicinal salt. We will stop in the town of Chinchero on our way back to Cusco to see a demonstration of how their famous handmade textiles are produced.

The afternoon and evening are free for you to explore the streets and eateries of Cusco.
04:00 | Drive to Rainbow Mountain
We will pick you up from your hotel between 4:00-4:30 a.m. It is a 3- hour drive to the base of Vinicunca, where we will start our hike.
06:30 | Breakfast
When you arrive it is very cold so be sure to wear warm clothes! We will stop at a restaurant where breakfast is served.
08:00| Rainbow Mountain Trek
It is about a 2-hour uphill trek to reach the top of Rainbow Mountain’s stunning scenery.
11:00 | Peak Experience!
Upon reaching the top, your guide will give you an explanation of how these magnificent colors came to be. You will then have 30 minutes to take pictures, enjoy the scenery, and rest up before your descent.
13:30 | Return to Cusco
It is approximately 2 hours to descend. We will stop at a restaurant for lunch and then head back to Cusco. The tour will finish at approximately 6:00 p.m.

- Weather: The rainy season is from November to March, the dry season is from March to October, with bright sunny days, and intense cold in the evenings and mornings

- You can cancel or reschedule up to 15 days before the start of the tour with a penalty of 50% of the cost of the tour.
- For cancellations within14 days of the start date of the tour, the penalty is 100% of the cost of the tour.
